Isara :: Karya anak ITT , Dreambender


ISARA - is a sign language learning application. it provides interactive, real-time, and attractive learning through usage of Kinect as motion sensor.

ISARA is available as both Web Application and Desktop Application. The user is not only the hearing impaired, but also their families, since sign language is needed to communicate with the hearing impaired family member.

Isara is:
Easy to use - Using Natural User Experience (NUI), where user controls the application through gestures.
Engaging - Equipped with attractive game-based feature
Social - User can interact with each other
Open - The content is not constricted, but continuously grow by its user's contribution.

Feautres:
Dictionary - User can find sign language from words in English or Bahasa Indonesia. The sign language will be shown in a short video, and user can try the gesture until the gestures is correct.

Practice
based on signs that have been learnt, user can test take practice of sign language vocabulary.
a. Gesture Practice - User has to do signs based on words that are shown in monitor in limited time
b. Vocabulary Practice - User has to answer the meaning of signs that are shown in monitor in limited time

User's learning progress will be saved in statistics and the achievements will be rewarded.
