S1 Telecommunication engineering

Telecommunication Engineering Bachelor Degree Study Program is accredited rated A by decree of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education Department of National Education Republic of Indonesia No.. 007/BAN-PT/Ak-XII/S1/V/2009 dated on May 6, 2009

Curriculum of Telecommunication Engineering Bachelor Degree Study Program is designed with a total burden of 145 credits for the course duration 4 years / 8 semesters. For students who can keep the grade of Semester not less than 3.00 at each end of the semester, has been provided the study of planning through Curriculum Acceleration Scheme 3.5 years / 7 semesters.

In addition, Telecommunication Engineering Bachelor Degree Study Program also held a Transfer Class from Diploma (D3) to Bachelor (S1), which is an advanced program for graduates of the corresponding D3 Study Program and the academic requirements specified by the test selection. Curriculum of transfer Class D3 to S1 in Telecommunication Engineering is designed for 2 years / 4 semesters (Study Duration) with a load of 53 credits to graduate of D3 IT Telkom or 59 credits for graduate of non D3 IT Telkom.

Vision

Being Telecommunication Engineering Bachelor Degree Study Program is able to produce skilled telecommunication engineers, able to practice science, able to develop themselves in the field of telecommunications and information technology, have working attitude, be a good people in society, through institutional development, infrastructure, and resources.

Mission

Organize a good quality education in the field of telecommunication engineering, develop academic’s atmosphere, laboratories utilization, to develop the curriculum according to graduate’s user's expected competencies.

Program Educational Objectives

Target implementation Telecommunication Engineering Bachelor Degree Study Program is directed to the graduates to have the following qualifications:

  1. Give students an understanding of basic knowledge, skills, expertise, and insights and the development in the field of telecommunication engineering, so graduates are able to answer the problems in the field of telecommunication engineering in society, at national and international scope.
  2. Give students wide scale insights for the development of contemporary field of telecommunications engineering expertise and other aspects to encourage the progress of graduates’ career.
  3. Give students good communication skills, managerial skills, personality, personal development or entrepreneurship attitude, professional ethics and mastery of English so they can prepare themselves for a complex work environment and lifelong learning.
  4. Give a supportive academic atmosphere, so students can achieve their targets in the form of an innovative program that sharp, challenging, open and conducive.

Program Outcomes

Telecommunication Engineering Bachelor Degree Study Program aimed for producing graduates who have the ability:

  1. The graduates have the ability to apply basic knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering, skills, and engineering equipment (tools) in analyzing, and resolve telecommunication technical problems encountered.
  2. The graduates have the ability for identification, formulation, and solving problems by following the professional rules.
  3. The graduates have the ability to design, conduct experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and draw conclusions based on scientific method.
  4. The graduates have the skills in programming and the use of (at least a) programming software, and (a) applications software.
  5. The graduates have the ability to communicate and interact in a positive way both individually and within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. The graduates have an understanding of responsibility and professional ethics.
  7. The graduates have an understanding of the attitude and skills in entrepreneurships both individually and within a multidisciplinary team.
  8. The graduates have insight on the general knowledge that needed to understand the influence of engineering solutions in a social context or the global context.
  9. The graduates have the awareness to keep life-long learning, and open to the changes.
  10. The graduates have the insight to the development of contemporary technological expertise in the field of Telecommunication Engineering.
  11. The graduates have the ability to use English in official meetings.
  12. The graduates have at least an international certificate.
